8:30 am - 5:00pm (with 1/2 hour lunch break)

Specialty workshop participants will work to understand the creation of a wide variety of scrolls for use in ornamental metal projects.. Material covered in this eight hour workshop will include:

• Taper varieties and their impact on scrolls

• Scroll varieties and development

• Foundational techniques: the keys to a good scroll, hammer control, practice techniques

• Using scrolls in larger projects, composition, relationships, repitition.
Students will make a three-scroll trivet using riveted joinery.
