In 2002-03 Badger Village was commissioned to produce a number of items for St. Mary's Oratory
in Wausau, WI. This archive contains a record of the work that was done and gives you a rare opportunity to take an inside look at the operations of a modern day blacksmith shop.

The variety of work done for St. Mary's Oratory includes many examples of forging techniques that
have existed for centuries. As you browse through the work that was done for this project, you will
have an opportunity to gain a better understanding of the craft of blacksmithing by seeing 'in process' photos of these techniques.
