Fall Art Tour - 2001
The beauty of autumn was celebrated with hot apple cider and coffee as visitors entered the historic forge here in Merrimac this last October. With forge demonstrations by Steve Hackbarth all weekend long, newcomers and old friends revisited the ancient craft of blacksmithing.

Visitors from Illinois, Minnesota and Wisconsin were welcomed with the sound of the hammer ringing as it hit steel, forming intricate pieces of art that were appreciated by both artist's eye and onlookers alike!

The next annual Fall Art Tour is already in motion for 2002! Visit their site for more information: www.fallarttour.com

It is always exciting to watch these functional yet ornate works of art take shape. Recently created, are a wine cellar door for a couple in Ohio and a table base for a customer's Christmas gift for her husband.
