Limited Edition Piece
The "Spring Sandhills" table is being designed as a limited edition art piece. It features two Sandhill Cranes in one of their natural habitats: a marsh plentiful with cattails. The detail on each crane is distinct and was carefully designed by studying the Sandhill Crane.
Limited to 100 tables, they are now available for purchase. The tables come with the option of a pine tabletop or a white marble top.
You may place an order for the table in our "Furniture" section of the online catalogue. Please allow 8 to 10 weeks for delivery as your table is hand forged and constructed.
This month our online catalogue has been updated to include over 25 new products! We are pleased to offer expanded categories, additional product categories, better picture quality, and easy online ordering. This month's new product features include the "Flaming" Shelf Brackets, "Trailing Vine Holder", and the newest Art Series piece, "At Odds". Each piece was designed in house at Badger Village Blacksmithing and great care was given to their uniqueness and their originality! Click on any thumbnail to go to the order page for that product.
The "Flaming" Shelf Brackets are perfect for holding a shelf width of approximately 5 3/4" wide. The shelves are easily mountable and the flames can be shooting upward or downward, as the owner prefers! If pointing upward, the shelf brackets have a scrolled lip giving the shelf extra stability.
The "Trailing Vine Holder" originated by the love of the large 3-wick candles. Desirous of a distinctive way to display these candles, Badger Village Blacksmithing designed the mountable bracket to help suspend the candle. Looking as though only trailing ivy vines supports it, this secure and stable candleholder is a great new way to hold these large and wonderful candles! (See top of newsletter for candle display picture!)
"At Odds" is a sculptural piece - part of a June, 2000 sculptural trio. One of these sculptural pieces, "Joy" has already left the Badger Village gallery! Their introspective designs are up to the mind's eye to interpret. Perfect for any art collection, "At Odds" is mounted on a creamy beige, solid granite base.
The third weekend in October features some of Wisconsin's finest artisans. Opening, their homes and their studios, visitors are invited to step behind-the-scenes and witness the creations of these fine pieces of art. This weekend has become known as the Fall Art Tour, and as they ready to celebrate their 7th annual season, you are encouraged to set this weekend aside for a delightful time of artistry!
The Fall Art Tour spans three days of a self-guided tour through the south central part of Wisconsin. Through Baraboo, Spring Green/Dodgeville, and Mineral Point, you can take a scenic drive by following the provided map and not only enjoy an afternoon of art but a delightful opportunity to see some of Wisconsin's most beautiful countryside. Many of the artists make shop in historical buildings such as old schoolhouses and historical storefronts. Artisans include painters, sculptors, weavers, jewelers, woodworkers, mixed-media artists, and of course, Badger Village Blacksmithing!
"It's big-city quality combined with small-town atmosphere." (Chicago Sun Times)
"Meet the artist and shop for a masterpiece." (Midwest Living Magazine)
