     Spring’s New Growth

Now that we have moved into our new production facility, our imaginations have been working overtime in designing new pieces for both our product line and our art series!  It has been exciting to see our new creations as good sellers in our gallery and welcome additions to our Badger Village Blacksmithing line.  All of these products will soon be available to be purchased through our online gallery!

"Geome" Candlestick

AS4003-PIP  (Art Series)

Steve studied new techniques inspired and taught by blacksmith Don Asbee.  He was able to apply them in this geometric candlestick.  With its artistic and unusual twists, this candlestick is an enlightening perspective on ironwork potential!

Heart Garden Ornaments

GD1003-PIP

Just in time for spring, John designed these new additions to our garden ornament collection.  They add a fanciful air to any garden display.  Perfect for just looks or for support climbing plants such as ivy or Morning Glories, these affordable ornaments are a spring’s “must have”!

Plant Brackets

GD1002 , GD1006 , GD1004

We updated our plant bracket collection by adding four new plant bracket styles to our line!  John gave each a new twist and created the, “Swirl”, “Heart”, “Leaf”, and “Organic” plant brackets.  He also gave our “Simple” plant bracket an updated look as well.  Please look at these practical and stylish plant brackets at our online gallery!

Freshwater Fish Series

HD3007-PIP

New to our family of home décor products, Steve has recently created a series we’ve titled the “Freshwater Fish Series”.  In the style of the “Fisherman’s Table”, we have sculpted two of Wisconsin’s native fish, the Perch and the Bass, into beautiful pieces that can accent a mantle, a desktop, or any place in need of a highlight!

Art & Antiques Auction”…

Fish Table Badger Village Blacksmithing is excited to be able to participate in this year’s “Art & Antiques Auction” hosted by Wisconsin Public Television. We have donated one of our “Fisherman’s Tables” to the auction and are looking forward to seeing the results of the auction to benefit quality public television.  For those of you in the viewing area, we encourage you to watch May 30th – June 4th to see the great arts and antiques of Wisconsin.

Our table will be up for auction on Saturday, June 3rd.  Auction televised hours are Tuesday – Friday, 6:00 pm – 1:00 am and Saturday – Sunday, 1:00 pm – 1:00 am.

Accessorize Your Garden…

S
melling spring’s first sweet scents of blossoming lilacs, magnolia trees, and fruit trees brings a little bit of gardener out of everyone.  If it causes you to enjoy the beauty that spring and summer brings with its greenery and floral, or if it inspires a green thumb either way, we all look for ways to accessorize our gardens to make them inspiring!  And it’s not hard – even for the average gardener.

Iron can be used to highlight gardens by accenting delicate flowers with the dark and sturdy background of an iron trellis, or add a touch of flair to your typical garden fence by including an intricate iron garden gate.  Use a garden ornament for your climbing plants or to just accent your garden of prairie flowers.  Every deck, porch, or three-season room can be brightened by a plant stand with greenery or your favorite flowering plant!

Ironwork is a unique emphasis to a garden already personalized by your tastes and preferences!  The advantage of obtaining the craftsmanship from a blacksmith is that each hand-forged piece is a little different and it sets your garden apart from the run of the mill department store accessories.   Not only is the quality highly durable but also the ability to customize your piece gives you a range of variety to work with that is available by working personally with a craftsman from Badger Village Blacksmithing!

Scenes at the Forge…

Hard at work in our new production shop, John and Steve are busy producing stock for the Kohler Company.  Lift rods and spiral handles are on the order this day as they get their photos snapped while they are defenseless against the camera!
