Part 2- Scrolls

The scroll work is being forged out of 1/2" square stock. This is the reason for the internal members of the framework being made out of 1/2" x 3/4" flat stock. The scrolls will be joined to the framework using collars and the thickness of the frame and scroll work must be the same in order to use this type of joining element.

Below is a short progression showing the development of the scroll forms. The pictures here are not comprehensive and only give an introduction to producing this type of ornamentation for a project.
